About the Book and Soundscape

CJ and his grandma take the bus across town every Sunday after church. During the ride, CJ wonders why they don’t own the same items as others around him. He also wonders why they get off the bus on the dirty part of town. Every time he asks his grandma, she meets him with encouragement to see beauty in the world around them. As you read the story with Novel Effect, you’ll feel as if you’re riding the bus with CJ and his grandma, and experiencing the beauty of everything around them.
