Teacher Appreciation Week is upon us and whether you’re a parent or a fellow teacher, chances are you can think of many reasons you are grateful for educators!
This week, we’re thanking teachers for their dedication to helping students develop literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading through classroom read-alouds.
Join us this week (and beyond!) as we share our appreciation for storytime heroes. We’ve rounded up 3 of our favorite ways to show a little love–which one will choose?
Simple Ways to Thank a Teacher
Have your student(s) write a card, poem, or short story
What literacy leader doesn’t love a handwritten note? Gather your most colorful school supplies and encourage your student(s) to jot down their favorite things about their teacher. Bonus points for including doodles or other decorations!
Gift them something to share with their classroom
Post a shoutout on social media
Tell the world how just how great your teacher is by posting a message of gratitude on their favorite social media platform. Be sure to tag their classroom account so they can see and share! Challenge others to do the same to start a wave of appreciation.
