Gobble Up Bear Says Thanks Activities

One-by-one, Bear’s friends stop by. Friends bring food to make a feast together. The bear expresses his gratitude to all of them for their kindness. Bear’s infectious gratitude continues with the Bear Says Thanks activities. Students will be able to connect to the story and imagine what it would be like to be a part of the feast through more than a dozen activities that support English Language Arts. The activities included will allow students to:

  • complete the writing prompt.
  • illustrate foods for a feast.
  • illustrate the 5 senses.
  • answer comprehension questions.
  • play This or That.
  • create a Group Gratitude Jar.
  • play And Don’t You Forget It for the feast.
  • respond to and reflect on comprehension questions and discussion questions.

Activities can be used to differentiate instruction for students, to provide them with a choice, or to focus on a particular skill.
